| Screening and Assessment An audiogram is required (where possible) to help determine if there is hyper-acute hearing at any frequency. AIT can filter the "peaks" to bring about a more normal "listening curve." Auditory processing can be assessed with the SCAN-C which tests for auditory processing disorder and ear advantage. A "Visual Skills Appraisal" will be done to assess visual tracking ability and visual/motor integration. When visual skills show poor performance, the client may be referred to a Developmental Optometrist for an in-depth examination. |
